Tortora, Kristine
Biography
Kristine Tortora was born and raised in Hamilton, where she lives and writes. She holds a B.A. in Linguistics from Concordia University (Montreal), and an M.A. in Book History from Massey College (Toronto). Her first love is language; her second books. After completing her education, Kristine returned to her post at Bryan Prince, Bookseller (Westdale) and began studying bookbinding at the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild. She is an active member of the James Street North community; one-third of The Assembly (an art collective housed in the Sonic Unyon Building), and one half of AmpersandAmpersand (a screenprint and design team). Kristine enjoys her time … mostly busy, rarely free.
