Biography

John Lawrence Reynolds is a native of Hamilton, Ontario and a graduate of McMaster University. Abandoning a career as a senior executive with a large advertising agency, he devoted several years to magazine features, travel writing, film directing, photography, and as an on-air radio host. His first book, The Man Who Murdered God, won the Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel; Reynolds went on to publish four more mystery novels, winning an Arthur Ellis for Best Novel in 1994 and serving as President of the Crime Writers of Canada. In recent years, he has focused his attention on non-fiction books, publishing six as author or co-author since 1996. He lives in Burlington, Ontario.
