Mary has a personal connection to the title character in her book.  Through a series of circumstances, she had the privilege of knowing and loving Mary Janeway.  At an early age the author became intrigued with Mary’s life. When she was twelve, she overheard her dad say, “Mary’s had such an interesting life, someone should write a book about her.”  Mary Janeway was a fascinating journey that took 30 years to think about and 10 years to write. The author is currently working on the sequel entitled Her Journey.   The question most frequently asked, “did Mary ever see her family again?”
