Biography
Bill Manson is a retired educator, local historian, and Art Gallery of Hamilton volunteer docent, who has conducted many popular downtown Hamilton walking tours for the AGH and other organizations. He is also the author of several books on Hamilton history and heritage. With his wife Ann, he co-authored Up and Down Locke Street South. In Getting Around Hamilton, Bill explores our transportation history, and in Footsteps in Time Volume 1, he celebrates the history and heritage of our downtown core neighbourhoods. His latest book, Footsteps in Time Volume 2, explores the history and heritage of Hamilton’s North-End Neighbourhood, also through stories, old photographs, and detailed self-guided walking tours.
