Biography
Mike Freeman writes poetry, short fiction and screenplays. His chapbook Why Poets Wear Black was published in 2002. His poetry and fiction have appeared in numerous publications, including Carousel, Contemporary Verse 2, The Hamilton Spectator, Hammered Out, The Instant Anthology, Kairos, Kiss Machine, Misunderstandings, New Chief Tongue, and Other Clutter: An And-thology, Peter O’Toole, Rampike, STREET, Venue and The Windsor Review. He has been featured at reading series in Toronto and throughout Southern Ontario. He has also appeared on CityTV’s Speaker’s Corner, Bravo! News and TVO’s Imprint, reading his poems, and is the proud winner of the 2005 Art Bar Poetry Idol.
