Brissett, Linda M.
Biography
Linda M. Brissett was born in Kingston, Jamaica where she trained as a registered nurse. She then trained as a certified midwife in Lanarkshire, Scotland, before settling in Hamilton. For 28 years, she has worked with premature babies and sick newborns at Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario. She is married with a grown son, and sings in a church choir and a Caribbean gospel choir. She is a member of the local branches of the Canadian Authors Association and the Canadian Poetry Association and is a member of the Board of Directors of The Afro-Canadian Caribbean Association of Hamilton and District. Her books are available from Briss Books Inc., Hamilton Ontario.
