Built in 1912, the building which houses the Kensington Gallery was born a church. The basement was used for functions and weddings but has since been re-birthed as an art gallery. Located a short walk west from Hamilton’s Ottawa St. shopping district, it’s square footage makes Kensington Gallery the largest privately owned art gallery in Hamilton. Exhibitors are established and up-and-coming regional, national, and international artists. The gallery features media of paintings, sculpture, prints, and photography with an opening evening where the artist is in attendance. New artists are featured monthly with solo exhibits and group shows.
