Power of the Pen Creative Writing Contest

Power of the Pen is an annual writing contest offered in partnership with The Hamilton Spectator. Teens (ages 12 to 18) are invited to submit original poetry and short stories. All participants will be entered to win an iPad 2 and cash prizes will be awarded to first and second place poetry and short story entries for each age group!

Contest Guidelines

Writers of short stories and poetry are encouraged to submit their works to the 17th annual Power of the Pen Awards. Entrants must be between the ages of 12 and 18 on July 31, 2011 and be a resident of Southern Ontario.
