Arts Organizations
Hamilton is home to a number of organizations that offer a range of resources and services to artists within the community, from equipment rentals to meeting spaces. Perhaps more importantly, they act as advocates, providing support for the arts both within the city and in the wider community.
Of special note is Arts Hamilton which was founded in 1969, making it one of the longest running and second largest community arts councils in Ontario. The Women's Art Association of Hamilton goes even further back, founded in 1894.
