Health Canada contains an overview of Health Canada and provides you points of entry to many Health Canada specific related topics.

Public Health Agency of Canada provides information on various programs and services offered by the Public Health Agency of Canada as well as information on a wide variety of health topics such as chronic and infectious diseases, injury, surveillance, emergency preparedness, health promotion, travel health and immunization.

Public Health Services The City of Hamilton Public Health Services provides services for immunization, sexual health, food safety, well water testing, prenatal classes and pregnancy resources, healthy child development, family and community health and more.

 

Health Databases

PubMed is a service by the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.

The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases that contain high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. Cochrane reviews represent the highest level of evidence on which to base clinical treatment decisions.

 

The Hamilton Public Library provides access to many useful databases that often contain information not available on the open Internet. These include the full-text of reference books, newspaper and magazine articles and much more. Several databases require a valid Hamilton Public Library card when used outside the library.

Alt Health Watch provides full text articles from more than 140 international and often peer-reviewed journals, reports and proceedings, as well as association and consumer newsletters on complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness.

Health and Wellness Resource Center provides articles on a wide range of health issues including: fitness, pregnancy, nutrition, diseases, public health, occupational health & safety, alcohol and drug abuse, prescription drugs, etc.

Health Reference Center Academic provides articles on a wide range of health issues including: fitness, pregnancy, nutrition, diseases, public health, occupational health & safety, alcohol and drug abuse, prescription drugs, etc.

Health Source Consumer Edition provides information on many topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.
