St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton is home to the world- renowned Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health, the Centre for Minimal Access Surgery, and the much respected Father Sean O'Sullivan Research Centre with it's satellite organization the Centre for the Evaluation of Medicine. The innovative Brain Body Institute is a new addition to St. Joseph's Hospital. Locating research facilities inside the hospital's front doors reflects our drive to integrate basic and clinical research. Bringing research to the bedside also strengths our partnerships with McMaster University's Faculty of Health Sciences and Mohawk College. Hospitals include:

- Centre for Ambulatory Health Services (King Street Campus)
- St. Joseph's Hospital (Charlton campus)
St. Peter's Health System includes academic specialty hospital care, long term care and research into quality care. Older adults requiring care for a wide range of health issues are benefiting from one of five specialty programs available at St. Peter's Hospital. Teams of professionals from a variety of health care disciplines work together to enhance the quality of life for older adults. In addition to providing complex care at St. Peter’s Hospital, St. Peter’s is also responsible for managing complex care beds at Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph’s Healthcare.
